Pre‑Installation Checklist
This checklist ensures that vehicles are ready for installation, diagnostics, or telematics work. Completing these steps helps avoid delays, additional charges, or missed appointments.
1. Vehicle Access
- Vehicle must be present at the agreed location.
- Keys must be available for the installer.
- Vehicle must be unlocked or accessible.
- Parking area must be safe, level, and free from obstructions.
2. Power & Battery Condition
- Battery must be in good condition and able to maintain voltage.
- No known electrical faults should be present.
- Vehicle should not have warning lights related to electrical systems.
3. Equipment Readiness
- All equipment must be present on‑site.
- Customer‑supplied equipment must be complete and undamaged.
- Mounting brackets, SIM cards, cables, and accessories must be available.
- Any required passwords, logins, or activation details must be provided.
4. Vehicle Condition
- Vehicle must be clean enough to work inside safely.
- No water leaks or interior damage affecting installation areas.
- No aftermarket wiring that may interfere with installation.
5. Safety Requirements
- Work area must be safe and free from hazards.
- Weather conditions must allow safe installation (for outdoor jobs).
- HGVs must be parked with brakes applied and engine off.
6. Customer Acknowledgement
By booking an installation, the customer confirms that the above conditions will be met. Missed appointments or unsafe conditions may result in additional charges.
