Work Against Policy Disclaimer

This disclaimer applies when a customer requests work that may conflict with manufacturer guidelines, safety standards, legal requirements, or Automodules.uk’s professional policies.

1. Purpose of This Disclaimer

Automodules.uk is committed to carrying out all work safely, professionally, and in accordance with industry standards. This disclaimer outlines the conditions under which work may be refused or carried out only with explicit customer acknowledgement.

2. Work That May Be Refused

The following types of work may be declined at the installer’s discretion:

  • Requests to bypass or disable OEM safety systems.
  • Requests to cut, splice, or modify wiring where non‑intrusive methods exist.
  • Requests to install equipment known to be unsafe, incompatible, or poor quality.
  • Requests that violate vehicle manufacturer guidelines or legal requirements.
  • Requests that pose a risk to vehicle integrity, road safety, or electrical systems.

3. Customer Responsibility

If a customer insists on work that goes against professional advice or policy, the customer accepts full responsibility for any resulting issues, including but not limited to:

  • Electrical faults or system malfunctions.
  • Loss of vehicle warranty.
  • Damage to vehicle components or wiring.
  • Reduced safety or compliance.
  • Future diagnostic or repair costs.

4. Installer Rights

Automodules.uk reserves the right to:

  • Refuse any work deemed unsafe or inappropriate.
  • Stop work immediately if unexpected risks arise.
  • Charge for time spent diagnosing or assessing unsafe requests.
  • Document customer‑requested deviations from best practice.

5. No Warranty on Non‑Standard Work

Any work carried out against policy, manufacturer guidance, or professional recommendation is not covered by warranty. This includes labour, performance, compatibility, and long‑term reliability.

6. Customer Acknowledgement

By requesting work that conflicts with professional advice, the customer confirms that they understand the risks and accept full responsibility for any consequences arising from such work.

7. Governing Law

This disclaimer is governed by the laws of England and Wales.
